Car Seat Technicians

Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPST) are trained professionals in child passenger safety. Safer Seats is a group of volunteers who are current, certified CPSTs through the Child Passenger Safety Association of Canada (CPSAC).

Sarah Elder (Sapperton)

Born and raised in New Westminster, strongly connected with the community. Doula and mum of 4 young children. After the birth of our first I looked into becoming a birth doula as I didn’t know anything about them until having a child of my own. Went through the training after having our second and furthered my knowledge into becoming a CPST after having our third and experiencing the difficulty of find help during the beginning of the pandemic. Wanting to help out community more and helping provide more services within New Westminster for all the families here.
